D6840 views training you as a Rotary Goodwill Ambassador as a worthy investment in our global future with a sound return to the program AS WELL AS something of tremendous and continuing value to you throughout the rest of your life. We will endeavor to prepare you the best we can in the year PRIOR to your departure. We will support you from afar while our exchange partner district hosts you DURING your year abroad. And, when you return, we will help you during the very real challenge of coming home in the year AFTER your exchange year. We will continue to include you in district Youth Exchange activities and some of you will be selected to assist with the training and selecting of the next crop of students! We will also put you in touch with our counterparts in whatever community you attend college so that you continue to explore the impact being a Rotary Goodwill Ambassador has had in your life. We promise, it is more than you can possibly anticipate and than we can articulate.
