I hope everyone had a wonderful time over the last two weeks with all the festivities. In
District 6840, it seems like the celebrations just keep coming - after Christmas and New
Year's, it's already time for Mardi Gras! Let’s kick off Mardi Gras in style by joining us at
the Paul Harris Society Gala on January 9th at the Great Southern Club. It’s a fantastic
opportunity to express our Rotary spirit!
The Mid-Year Review will take place the next day. This event provides an excellent
chance to connect with other Rotarians and learn about the various ways their clubs are
supporting their communities. It will be held on January 10th, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at
the Bay Waveland Yacht Club. Both breakfast and lunch will be served.
I'd like to extend a warm welcome to our newest addition: The Rotary Club of Lacombe,
LA, which was chartered on December 9th. This group has already made a positive
impact in their community. If you see club members this Saturday, be sure to stop by,
introduce yourself, and take the opportunity to get acquainted.
