Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) – Applications Now Open!

Rotary District 6840 is now accepting applications for RYLA—a dynamic leadership experience for high school students with leadership potential. Through hands-on learning, team-building, and mentorship, RYLA helps students grow personally and develop key leadership skills.

Why Sponsor a Student?
✅ Build leadership and teamwork skills
✅ Boost confidence and communication
✅ Instill Rotary values and service mindset
✅ Connect youth with future leaders

Rotary Clubs are encouraged to sponsor outstanding students who are ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. Let’s invest in the future—one leader at a time!

Help Rotary Recognize Community Heroes!

The Rotary Award for Excellence in Service to Humanity honors nonmembers, including partners and spouses of Rotary and Rotaract members, who have shown outstanding humanitarian service through Rotary.

Each district governor can nominate one candidate per year, with nominations opening in March. Honorees receive an engraved crystal award and a lapel pin.

If you know someone deserving of this recognition, please send your recommendation to District Governor Samantha Walley.

🤱 April is Maternal and Child Health Month! 👶

This month, Rotary International highlights one of its key areas of focus: improving maternal and child health around the world.

Every day, thousands of mothers and children face preventable health challenges. Rotarians are committed to changing that by:
🔹 Supporting access to essential medical care
🔹 Promoting health education and nutrition
🔹 Reducing maternal and infant mortality rates
🔹 Empowering communities through sustainable health programs

Let’s continue working together to ensure that every mother and child has the opportunity for a healthy, hopeful future. 💙
